No TV show has ever had me researching a particular political situation, looking into a social issue, or discovering something new to me more than SouthPark. I discovered a love for Kansas, I became a pastafarian and I became armed with all kinds of facts about Scientology and Mormons all because of this show!

The fact that its always topical, frequently outspoken, and constantly challenging political and social policies that aught to be challenged is not only a stimuli for conversation but also an important tool for social awareness. Political satire, apart from being entertaining has always been important, in parodying people and situations a truth can be told in a way that no other medium can.
